At CONFORMAR we combine more than forty years of experience as a seafarer, port manager and security professional.
Guido Fallentheyn was during 15 years Director Maritime Security for the international security company G4S and held previously various management and
executive positions in the maritime & safety industry, where he developed his insights in the field of safety, security and logistics management, within different cultures.
Before joining the security industry, he spent 11 years at sea as a nautical officer and captain on board cargo and container ships,
and then worked between 1989 and 1995 as a port manager in DR Congo (ports of Matadi, Boma & Muanda) and in Tanzania (ports of Dar-es-Salaam & Kigoma).
In addition to his training as a Captain, he also studied Maritime Sciences (University Ghent) and Strategic Supply Chain Management (Vlerick School).
He teaches various Port Security courses at G4S Training Services and at the Antwerp Port Education Centre (APEC). In recent years he specialised also in counter-drones measures.
From 2016 to 2020, he chaired of the Maritime Security Working Committee within CoESS, representing the private security industry at multiple European Union and Maritime assemblies.
He co-authored white papers and studies on maritime transport & passengers security.
